We are often asked to explain more about employers4lawyers, so here is a brief outline. Legal Recruit (South) Ltd., trading as Employers4Lawyers, is a joint venture between Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Bromley Law Societies. Its objective is to provide a recruitment service which is much less expensive than the commercial agencies and also returns its profits to benefit these local law societies and becoming the definitive resource for legal jobs in Surrey, Sussex, Kent & Bromley.
Originally envisaged as an internet based operation, it was soon realised that people prefer the personal touch – both firms and candidates alike. To this end, Anita Amies was engaged to manage the service on a part-time basis. Whilst our main market is permanent fee-earners, we try to help all-comers and placements vary from partner-level to secretarial maternity cover. Our locum rate is just £50 per week or part-week, compared with up to £12.50 per hour with some of the commercial agencies.
We are delighted to have secured two sponsors – both are pre-eminent in their field.
