SLS AGM Thursday 4th November 2010 Market House, Kingston upon Thames
This year's AGM on Thursday 4th November is being held, as last year, in the beautiful surrounding's of Kingston's historic Market House from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, followed by the usual Networking Reception. A list of members standing for election or re-election at the AGM will be sent out to all SLS members 6 weeks before the event.
As always this year’s AGM will be an opportunity to reflect on the past year and consider the future of the profession in these challenging times and in the wake of the general election. We are delighted to welcome SRA Chairman Charles Plant as our guest speaker.
The AGM will start at 6.30pm. This will be followed by the election of the SLS Management Committee and the installation of our new President as David Steed passes on the badge of office. Following the address from our guest speaker there will be an informal Networking Reception from 7.30pm to 8.30pm with wine, soft drinks and canapes. All members are most welcome to this FREE event which is always a very lively and informal gathering, ideal for meeting fellow members and members of the SLS Management Committee.
Members may be interested to know that we have two Law Society Council Members for Surrey who attend SLS Committee meetings to provide a conduit between us and The Law Society: Paul Marsh, Downs Solicitors LLP (Conveyancing) and Jenny Gracie, Partners for Law (Family Law)
